been studying lit e past few days.... sigh.... been neglecting my lit, now i feel so guilty.... but then my econs is like shit still.... how how? some more econs is after lit.... sianz.... how how.....

did silas marner yesterdae... basically silas marner is e story of a weaver. he was falsely accused of theft in lantern yard, and his belief in man and god shattered, he left lantern yard and settled down in raveloe. he becomes a miser whose only love is gold... his gold gets stolen one day by dunsten cass and a mth later silas finds a toddler by the name of eppie on his hearth. thru her, he is once more integrated into society.

so many essays i have read refer to e story as a fairytale.... and they refer to godfrey cass's story as more realistic. but i particularly like terence dawson's essay on e importance of nancy lammeter. i find his view tt e story is nancy's story rather than godfrey's one reallie interesting. it makes sense. anw godfrey's story is that he has been tricked into marrying a barmaid,molly farren, by his brother dunstan cass. however he cannot let anyone know of this marriage and is thus subsequently blackmailed by dunstan to get money for him. godfrey is in love w nancy, but due to his secret marriage, he dares not court her. on new yr's eve, molly decides to pay a visit to godfrey and announce tt she is his wife (see,being rich ppl, they will be having a ball at tt moment). however she dies on e way and her daughter eppie finds her way to silas' house. godfrey does not acknowledge e child,prefering to keep it secret, and marries nancy. 16 yrs later, nancy is barren, and his secret comes to light when he tells nancy of it. they try to adopt eppie but fail. eppie stays e silas and marries aaron winthrop while godfrey and nancy remains childless but their union is strengthened.

ta-da!!! waahaha~ i dunno, but i find silas marner really nice... and i like doing the essays... keke~ i hope they come out on e parallels of e story... like silas and godfrey, or silas and nancy.... kekeke~ yuppz...

now im gg to study hard times! i love sissy jupe esp when she confronts harthouse... its like, U GO GIRL!!! keke~ tmr is othello!!! keke~ dun think i'll be blogging fer a long time after todae, cos this and next week's tough, 6 papers... yupz. so see ya peeps!!! take carez!!!!
