Kitt sent me a link just now, showcasing LJK dolls. Sigh. Just when I've resigned to the fact that I will never be able to own a single one of them, she gave me the link and I saw them again! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I want!!!!!!!!!! I needs a sugar daddy urgently. Or better yet, LJK himself. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Then I won't need a doll since I can have him all to myseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelf.

Watched We Will Rock You with Xiaozhi last night. It was AMAZING. Like a rock concert of sorts, rock musical really. Haha. Love the lines, sooooo funny. The singing was good too. AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, I SAT ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF THE ESPLANADE. yes! 8th row from the stage too! WHEEEEEE.

Towards the end, a few of us were like standing up and bobbing along, shouting like we weren't at Esplanade (which requires certain decorum) but at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Haha. But it was good fun :) I'm glad I managed to catch it!

And I bought a We Will Rock You dog tag and the OST. Xz also took pictures of me with the poster, but I'm too lazy to go and upload them to photobucket, edit them so they fit here and paste the relevant link. Go check my facebook er..... someday. Haha. Not so soon, methinks.

Have I mentioned that Mia Michaels is an amazing choreographer? Her works are always so intense, so full of emotions, and absolutely beautiful to watch. Of course, Neil and Danny were amazing too. Their technique, and the accurate portrayal of the characters... sigh....

But, this dance moved me to tears:

Isn't it beautiful? So touching, and moving. The first time I watched it, I was just so stunned by how RAW it was. And Lacey was absolutely amazing. The intensity, the struggles, she portrayed all of them so beautifully. And of course, Mia Michaels was the one who choreographed this too. She is just a genius. Seriously.

And I said I will post some Donyelle Jones videos (haha, Vi-de-o ta-pe!!! Watch We Will Rock You and you'll know).

The first time I discovered Donyelle's amazing talent, and fell in love with her and Benji's partnership (also the first time I caught season 2 on TV, by luck):

When I watched this, my respect for Donyelle increased. Her commitment to dance is so moving. I'm so glad that she decided to continue with dance and entered this competition.

And who said big-sized girls can't dance well? Or will be a hindrance to their dance partners? Just look at the amount of energy Donyelle puts in her dance, and the amount of confidence she exudes!

And no, Donyelle is not a ballroom dancer. She's a contemporary/hip-hop dancer. Which makes it all the more amazing, because she had a lot of ballroom dances and she excelled in every single one of them!

Yay! So you think you can dance season 4 starts on May 22nd! Can't wait!!! Am now catching up on Season 3, 'cos for some reason blur me totally missed out on it. Beh. Maybe 'cos Singapore totally delay the seasons, so I thought season 3 hadn't aired yet, when really, it aired last year June. Like, sadness. And now, Channel 5 is so going to miss out on season 4! Boo.

Anyway, I watched a few Lacey Schwimmer videos and I must say, that girl can really dance! She's good! And I noticed there's some comments left on her videos that were very insulting, accusing her of trying to get together with David Cook blah blah blah. I got so fed-up at one particular comment that I actually replied to the person (which I don't usually do). I mean, first, the person was insulting. And she called her a sumo wrestler. HELLO, sumo wrestlers don't have the physique that Lacey has, nor do they DANCE. Goodness, you can't differentiate between DANCE and Martial Arts. I wonder how did you manage to pick out David Cook as a good singer out of the rest of the American Idol contestants? Second, the person can't spell properly. Third, quite obviously, the person has been deceived by gossip mongers. If David Cook's popularity goes down just because he is RUMOURED to be dating Lacey, then well, his 'fans' must be really shallow. I wouldn't stop voting for him just because he is dating someone. His voice should be able to draw in votes all on its own, and not whether he is dating someone or not. And no, I don't dislike David Cook. I think he is one of the better contestants on the show, across all the seasons. But really, that doesn't mean I'll be blind to other people's talents, or insult them just because you think that he/she/it is seducing whoever.

Some people need to grow up. Lacey is amazing in her own way, she can totally dance and it isn't any wonder that they picked her to be the one dancing with David Cook on Idol Gives Back. Personally, I'd think he'll be glad that such a brilliant dancer danced with him, and not someone that's below standard.

And just in case some others get the wrong idea, no I am not attacking Yalan in any part of this post. Just because I know she'd praise someone for his/her talent when she sees one, and not blindly attack and insult the person unjustly. That's the difference between her, and those people who left the horrid posts without bothering to appreciate Lacey's talent.

I miss Donyelle Jones. I think she is the BEST SYTYCD dancer, and I sorely miss her and Benji. SYTYCD just doesn't feel the same without her. But well, since today's post is dedicated to Lacey, I shall post Donyelle's dance videos some other time. But she is amazing. Honestly. She inspires me, and I really really want to pick up dance one day. I'm saving up for it now! :)

I DON'T WANT TO DO WORK! :(:(:( BUT WORK I MUST.

OMG I HAVE THREE ESSAYS DUE THIS WEEK, AND A SKIT, AND TWO TESTS NEXT WEEK AND AN ORAL EXAM, AND THE NEWSPAPER DUE, AND EXAMS AFTER THAT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

AND I HAVEN'T READ RED MARS. OR OLAUDAH EQUIANO. OR FINISHED PAMELA. I AM SCREWED.

I also haven't finished reading Glory Season, but I think I should be able to finish it by tomorrow. And CL library doesn't have anything on Betsy Thoughtless and Eliza Haywood! Those books there are either unavailable, or not useful. Bleah.

On another note, my newest tuition kid today is pretty. Another one from China (I seem to be attracting a lot of China students eh?). She's a PRC scholar who isn't good at English, sigh. But well, we'll try. MUCH better than my pri 6 student though, but then again, this girl is Sec 4. O levels. Oh boy.

But yes, she's pretty. AND TALL. Like really. Wah. Haha.

Cramps suck. Cramps and work suck. And I have no idea why one of my guy friends is talking about my cup size. Egads. *becomes acutely self-conscious*

I'm looking forward to interning, if and when I do get the internship. Hmmm. SPH hasn't replied yet. Sad. But the interview with SAFRA on Fri went pretty well. I actually managed to make my interviewers laugh at me. Not that it's really a good thing, hahaha.

I hope I can do honours. But, oh wells. *sighs*

Eight things

1. He must accept and love me for who I am

This is the most important. I mean, what's the point in being with a guy who just analyzes and criticizes my faults? Everyone of us are entitled to have our faults, so hey, it is only fair for the other party to accept every single part of me -- flaw or no flaw -- and to love me as I am.

2. He must not abuse me -- emotionally, physically, verbally

This is another given. I won't take it lying down if a guy ever beats me up or keeps making me feel worthless. It's just wrong on all levels and guys who do that deserve to be like alone. Or have a closer look at their over-inflated ego, which brings me to point 3.

3. He must not possess an over-inflated ego, and/or be a MCP (Male Chauvinist Pig)

I am somewhat feminist (if you can't already tell). I have to say, if I ever do housework or cook or any of the stuff that is deem proper for a woman to do, it will be because I genuinely want to, and not because I have to like fulfill my gender role. So, if the guy thinks he can boss me around and control me just 'cos he is a guy, well then, sorry dude, I ain't the one for you.

4. He must -at the very least- respect and appreciate the arts (in whatever form or language)

Why? Because, quite simply, it is the language I speak. Music, writing, reading, movies, theater, musicals, dance etc. At least one of these really (is that so hard, honestly?). At the most basic level, it gives us one thing in common. At a higher level, it gives us more things to talk about, and a deeper connection. And note that I said in any language, so it doesn't even have to be English (goodness, my standard IS going down. Hahaha). That said....

5. He must speak (and understand DUH) English.

How else are we going to communicate? It doesn't even have to be perfect English, if say he is Japanese or Korean or French or some other nationality where English is not the first language. But at least an understanding of it and the ability to speak it, if not we'll have serious problems communicating.

6. He must not be a smoker, or do drugs, or be an alcoholic, or a gambler.

Because I envision a stable and normal household and life, not an unstable one. And well, I just can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke or entertain the idea of kissing someone who smells like a chimney. And, I do want my husband to live as long as I do, if not longer.

7. He should, preferably, play an instrument.

Ignoring the fact that I can't play any musical instrument at the moment (unless you count the recorder. But I DO intend to pick up an instrument sometime), I think a guy who can play an instrument is hot. Hahaha. Or if he can't play an instrument, then he has to be able to write COHERENTLY. Write as in prose, poetry, song kind of write.

8. He MUST look like Lee Jun Ki!!!

Hahaha no, just kidding. LJK is one and only. But I guess decent looking guy will be a must. I know I ain't good-looking, but I like to think I'm at least decent looking. HAHAHA. And I can't possibly be with someone I can't stand the looks of (or the character of, for the matter).

And so, that concludes it. And since I don't know who ever comes to my blog anymore, I'm just going to tag whoever reads this HAHAHA. But if I had to guess, they'll be... (barring Tingren, who is already tagged by Yalan): Lay Ping, Yiling, and I honestly don't know who else. HAHAHA.
