a girl who spends too much time doing things she shouldn't be doing, like writing. and dreaming. and slacking.
she's insane, which simply drives everyone around her crazy.
feminist and proud of it.
enjoys writing, reading, kendo, chilling, music and has she mentioned writing?
"nobody knows who I really am... but I don't give a damn!"
this i like! from phantom of the opera, its really funny! enjoy! :)

training was alright, i had to fall-out though cos my knee injury came back. :*( nicholas took training today and it was a different experience! really. too bad i couldn't be there throughout. sigh.
i think i sprained my back when i fell as well. i don't know. it hurts loads now. gave ting sempai a shock when i suddenly ended up on the floor after the kote cut. what can i say? my knee is super sensitive, a wrong placement and its gone. that i slipped on something made it worse. sigh.
i don't like the floors in the school's mpsh, and i hate the ventilation even more.
say hi to my new nephew, bryan w widjaja (pronounced widjaya)! heh~ so those of you who thought i was going to say something juicy here when you looked at the title, well, too bad! bwehehe~
my nephew! ain't he cute? ain't he ain't he? i can't wait to see him!
@@@ dinner at seoul garden was alright todays.... i had a free dinner! muahaha~ cos i didnt know you had to pay first before entering, and i just waltzed right in cos i was late already. and i didnt get caught, so hehe. :p/ but i paid for the drinks in the end, cos i felt guilty about being the only one not paying. :p
@@@ i am still stuck at chapter 3 of my fanfic. man, do i suck or what? haha~
yay! today was the combined martial arts display! i was the stage manager. damn scared lah! 'cos there wasn't any proper rehearsal, in fact, the only rehearsal we had was not held at the actual venue, was super messy and basically messed-up. so when i was preparing for the show, and when discussing with my fellow stage people, i was so scared that i will screw-up. after all, the flow of it all depends on me. so yes, i was damn stressed.
throughout it all, there were some hic-cups, but well, i hope it wasn't that obvious. heh~ anywayz, one of the things we definitely overlooked was that of the issue of clearing up after some of the performances. cos some of the performances had breaking of woods and all, and then the later performances had groups performing barefooted, so there was a fear of people getting injured and splinters. thanks goodness for the headsets then! haha~ cos it enabled me to communicate with my lighting and sound partner! so we had a few additional lights out to let people sweep the floor and wells, no one was injured or anything so hooray!
and well, me being me, nearly tripped over stuff a few times, dropped a pen, er did a few stupid stuff but wells, i hope it wasn't that obvious. heh~ oh yah, not to mention the little nervous butterflies before the show, the diarrhoea before and mid-way through and the gastric after. -_-" the things i do for the projects i'm involved in.... haha~
but overall, it was a great experience! my first time being a stage manager, and yah, it was a definite eye-opener! completely different from a backstage crew or as an actor. and, something else i can write in my resume, muahaha! also, the new friends i made at cmad... hehe~ we're gonne have a cmad committee dinner one of these days! yay!
and a shameless plug (or two) for my dear friends in dance blast and dance ensemble: come for dance blast performance, Shut Up and Dance!, on the 10th of september, Sunday, 7pm at UCC! tickets at $12. also, dance ensemble's The Next Wave will be held on the 15th and 16th september, friday and saturday, 7.30pm. tickets at $11, $16 and $19! i'm going for both! :)
that's all! yay! finally, i can watch my veronica mars episodes! kekeke~
played badminton yesterday with a few fellow kendokas! it was kinda fun! i haven't played badminton for a long time, so i was kind of rusty. which made my already horrendous badminton skills even worse. bwahaha! kudos to them for putting up with me though, heh!
anyways, zhen feng, nicholas, wen hao, mun wei, yick siew and kiat meng came for the game! and we were doing stupid stuff like kiai-ing when each time we hit the shuttle cock to show spirit, fumikomi, doing the kendo way of playing badminton, the tennis way, the golf-ing way etc etc. and there was this point where me, mun wei, wen hao and siew were tired and we just sat on the floor and played. haha! i think we were like one of the most amusing courts or something.
and siew is eviiiil! when zhen feng and mun wei were playing a match against each other, she kept trying to distract zhen feng! bwahaha~ but it only succeeded twice. what does that say, i wonder? hmmmmmmm *ahem*.
anyways, rewards from badminton? a muscle-ached right arm and a pained butt. hahaha! but it was fun stil! heh~ but i wanna play netball! i miss netball! anyone wants to play netball? heee~

training todays was fun! tiring and fun! hehe~ and i survived! whee!!! it feels good to be training after not training for sooooo long! haha~ so yahs, it was great fun! and i had to do after-training exercise some more, which was running after the bus. :( heh~ but kudos to bao fang and edwin for running for the bus with me! hee~
sensei corrected my tai-a-tare, so there's food-for-thought. also, i still keep moving my left foot before hitting a men cut. darn left foot! heh~ so i need to work on that too! and i need to show more spirit! ROOOOOAAAAR!!!! not happy not happy not happy!
there is much work to do for kendo. ym must work harder! *nods head* ting said today that playing badminton the day before kendo isn't such a bad idea, cos it helps to improve your stamina and tone the muscles. yepz. maybe i should go swimming on days where there's no badminton. hmmmm....

funny pics of a few of us kendokas at supper! we're crazy i tell you!
me and kitt doing some funny shot! i was actually sticking my tongue out as well, but nic, sarah, mich, siew were making me laugh, that's why i look so weird. sarah says that i look as though im trying to eat myself with my chopsticks, bwahaha!
sarah and siew! sarah insists on taking a pic with siew and her new handphone pouch, cos of what it says. it reads "i don't suffer from insanity. i enjoy every minute of it." an accurate reflection of siew, i must say. haha~ oh and those chopsticks are courtesy of me and nic and kitt too, i think. haha~ and mich is sorta sticking her head in haha~ she looks like she's eating though. hehe~
looking at today's supper, it struck me how close my batch of kendokas are! i guess we're really lucky to be gelling together as a group. i've never really felt close to a group of people from my batch before, so to be able to feel so now is really cool. haha~ really. it's like we're some sort of weird family of siblings or something, haha~ must be all those kbox sessions and dinner sessions (from last year, pre-bogu. i feel old already.), those banner paintings and all. so thanks a lot folks for making this journey an even more enjoyable one, and thanks for all the support you guys have shown! hehe~ i hope that the new batch of juniors will be able to bond together too! it really makes things so much funner and well, easier to work with each other too! yep!
ah, long entry. i should go and sleep. 8am lecture tomorrow.... NOOOOO!!!! and erm, CMAD is tomorrow too! yay! haha~ ok, tatas!
ym is sick. ym hates being sick. and sick = medicine = drowsy. and so ym feels sleepy most of the time, can barely stay awake, can barely walk straight. ym feels like a pig. ym is not happy.
ym is pms-ing as well. so yes, ym is sick, drowsy and grouchy. go figure.
oh, and ym has a whole load of readings to do. *dies*

COMBINED MARTIAL ARTS DISPLAY featuring performances by 11 NUS martial arts groups including the likes of KENDO, aikido, karate, judo, wushu, taiji, capoeira etc.
date: 25th august, friday time: 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm) venue: university cultural centre, NUS ticket price: $4 ONLY!
interested, drop me an e-mail, sms or a tag! :)(MUST COME!!! in desperate need to sell the tickets!)
we came, we conquered, we went. amidst it all, we have proven to ourselves that we are the best, that we can overcome all obstacles, push our boudaries and go far beyond our limitations. we have shown the others that we are not any fry to be trifled with. we have shown nus that we are here to stay, and that we are going to keep on trying to win back the title. yes, we have done ourselves proud, and we all deserve a huge pat on the bacK!
rag 2006: blood, sweat, tears. tiredness, grumpiness, anger. and yet, passion, friendship and triumph are born from those 3-6 months of hard work, of endless mindless soft tech, of back-breaking hard tech, of blister-inducing dance, of meticulously-designed costumes, hair and make-up. we are winners in the end. don't despair because we didn't bring back a plaque; hold our head up high because we have done what no one else could: we have come up from the bottom and shown the world that we ARE champions, that we have the best float ever!
to the best arts rag, i salute you! let's all work harder next year to make it a huge success!
2 more days to rag! and the heat is on! it's amazing to see so many people staying over with us for the final lap. thanks a lot peeps!
we had a rehearsal 2 nights ago and it was absolutely amazing. i mean, we moved all out side-props (comepleted and half-completed) into the lay-out and my gosh, it was just er amazing. really really. to think that in the past, all we could do was to imagine how it would look like in our minds. and now, to see things appearing in front of us, falling into place, it is just simply wonderful! i cant wait to see how it'd all look like, with the main float and all, on the main day. suddenly, looking at all these, you realise once more why you rag, what rag is for. to see our dreams become reality. i felt like crying when i saw everything forming together. simply wonderful. if you dont come down to help out with rag, you should at least come down on rag itself. amazing.
and the oweekers came to see our rehearsal and learn about rag. thanks faith and gabriel for helping me to grab people to stayover on fri to help us shift down everything to src. thanks!!! haha~ and it's great to see robbie and mel so enthusiastic about rag this year just by looking at our float so far. thanks guys. and thanks for staying over coming fri after o week. :)
2 more days and then it's all over. the journey's been rough and tiring, but in the end, it was all worth it. be raggerfied! (aka be banglafied, be pandafied, be smellified.....)
im feeling so sad now, it hurts. from the shit in my life, and cos suyu is going to leave for japan really soon. and michelle will be following soon after. sigh.
the shit in my life, im sure no one wants to know. or be bothered. so i shall spare all of you.
im going to miss suyu so much. havent really been able to meet up with her since she graduated from NUS and started working. even when we did, there wasn't much time to really talk to each other. and now, she is leaving. for 3-5 years. and she has to take a flight that is at the ungodly hour of 6am in the morning on a sunday. how oh how are we supposed to send her off with no trains and buses? my parents will kill me if i even think of taking a cab down. maybe i should just stayover in school tomorrow. then i can cab down.
i think back to those times where we had so much fun together, those unofficial kendo sessions, the joking, bitching, laughing, the immense support i recieved, and still am recieving from her, everything from kendo to beyond kendo. and i feel sad that the amount of time we had to really really get to know one another was so short, and now she is leaving for japan. siew, mun wei and myself are going to miss her so much.
suyu, you must take care of yourself ok? im sure you will do well there! i have faith in you. ganbatte! and make sure you come and visit us whenever you can! we will gladly jigeiko with you! haha~
@@@ it is so hard to keep on smiling when you just feel like dying inside. fighting from the abyss, that i am. but oh, it is just so tempting.
