yay! today was the combined martial arts display! i was the stage manager. damn scared lah! 'cos there wasn't any proper rehearsal, in fact, the only rehearsal we had was not held at the actual venue, was super messy and basically messed-up. so when i was preparing for the show, and when discussing with my fellow stage people, i was so scared that i will screw-up. after all, the flow of it all depends on me. so yes, i was damn stressed.

throughout it all, there were some hic-cups, but well, i hope it wasn't that obvious. heh~ anywayz, one of the things we definitely overlooked was that of the issue of clearing up after some of the performances. cos some of the performances had breaking of woods and all, and then the later performances had groups performing barefooted, so there was a fear of people getting injured and splinters. thanks goodness for the headsets then! haha~ cos it enabled me to communicate with my lighting and sound partner! so we had a few additional lights out to let people sweep the floor and wells, no one was injured or anything so hooray!

and well, me being me, nearly tripped over stuff a few times, dropped a pen, er did a few stupid stuff but wells, i hope it wasn't that obvious. heh~ oh yah, not to mention the little nervous butterflies before the show, the diarrhoea before and mid-way through and the gastric after. -_-" the things i do for the projects i'm involved in.... haha~

but overall, it was a great experience! my first time being a stage manager, and yah, it was a definite eye-opener! completely different from a backstage crew or as an actor. and, something else i can write in my resume, muahaha! also, the new friends i made at cmad... hehe~ we're gonne have a cmad committee dinner one of these days! yay!
